With more users of mobile devices predicted than desktop PC users by 2014, it’s time we all ensured that we have a mobile compliant version of our website.
We’ve been working on a lot of these sites lately and we thought we’d put a few up here for you to have a look at.
When planning a mobile version of your site, you need to look at the site from a mobile browser’s point of view. Anyone surfing on the move is probably just looking for basic contact details, a menu or a map and location details. They are not looking for a history of the company so keep the site streamlined and ‘to the point’. Ensure that users can ‘tap to call’. Include links to your social media accounts and encourage visitors to “like” your information. If you incorporate discount coupons and text marketing, you’re heading in the right direction.
